Gift Wrapping: A Step-by-Step Guide!

Ready? Here what you’ll need: 

• Your lovingly chosen gift

• Wrapping paper

• Scissors

• Tape

• Ribbon, Gift tag (optional)

A little tip from our wrapping station: if your gift is a unique shape, consider placing it in a box. Wrapping a box adds an element of anticipation and offers a neat, clean presentation. You’ll often find simple white gift boxes near the wrapping paper in most stores, a small detail that can make a big difference. It’s these thoughtful touches that turn your gift into something truly special. 

Step 1: Measure Your Wrapping Paper

The first step in wrapping a gift is to measure the wrapping paper. It's essential to have enough wrapping paper to cover the entire gift, and it's also important not to have too much. Cut the wrapping paper according to the size of the gift, with an additional three inches on each side. This extra paper will help ensure you fully cover the gift.  

Pro Tip: If you're wrapping a fragile item, use tissue paper or bubble wrap to cushion it before wrapping it with the wrapping paper.

Step 2: Secure the Paper to the Box with Tape

Next, secure the paper to the box with tape. Place the gift in the center of the wrapping paper, bringing the paper up and over the gift. Use tape to hold the paper in place. 

Step 3: Fold Other Side and Bring it to the Edge.

Take the other side of the wrapping paper, and pull it towards the center of the gift. Use tape to secure it to the gift.

Step 4: Fold the Paper on Each Side of the Present

Now, fold the paper on each side of the present, making sure to keep the edges neat. Use your fingers to create a crisp fold, and then use tape to secure it.

Protip: If you have extra paper on the ends of the gift, fold it down and tuck it into the sides of the present. This will give it a more polished look.

Step 5: Repeat Folding to the Other Side

Repeat the folding process on the other side. Make sure the folds are neat and creased. Tape the paper to the box to keep it in place.

Step 6: Add a Ribbon and Personalized Tags
